Bancroft Community Art Night

Join us, next Tuesday at the Bancroft Community Art Night in South Minneapolis. We’ll be showing off our latest work. We’ll have a craft for the kids. And we’ll have snacks! See you there!

Think Pink

This gorgeous pink and silver wedding invitation set was designed for my brother
and sister-in-law. They were married in a beautiful ceremony at the historic University Club in Madison, Wisconsin.

Pink was the color of the evening, highlighted in the bride’s bouquet, bridesmaids’ dresses and centerpieces.

A full size pink and silver wrap housed the invitation and cards. A geometric pattern of strips and dots carried out the theme.

And then it was March!!

It’s March and we finally have snow. Well, about an inch. But I made a (little) snowman with daughter this morning, so it finally feels like winter. Now that it’s March. Ha.

But to keep us in the springy-mood, here’s some lovely screensaveres for March. Enjoy!

A Sneak Peak

We’re busy busy busy working on an amazing project. Can’t wait to share, the details, but shhhh, not yet! So, until we can, here’s a little sneak peak….

Valentine’s Day Downloads

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching… can you believe it? I feel like it was just Thanksgiving and now suddenly, here we are, with heart and pink decorating our spaces. In honor of this humble little holiday we wanted to offer you some fun downloads to share your love.

There’s a couple simple wraps for  a box of sweethearts. (vday_sweetheart2 or vday_sweetheart1.)

Or a wrap for a Hershey’s bar. (I prefer dark with almond, if you’re wondering). (vday_hershey2 or vday_hershey)

And best of all, some cupcake toppers if you’re really going all out. (vday_toppers)

Click the link, the right-click to download. Print at full size (no resizing), trim, fold, tape, present.

We’ll be keeping it low-key that day, take-out for dinner, a bottle of wine and maybe a streaming movie if we can find something.

Fall Wedding

Luckily, the cold Minnesota weather held off and Emily and Justin were married on a beautiful evening in late October. Not only was I honored to be part of the wedding party, but I designed the invitations and other paper goods required by the bride and groom.

The vibrant orange and green of the invitation complemented the calla lilies in the bride’s bouquet and the bridesmaid dresses. A map , hotel information and rsvp card were tucked into a chocolate brown pocket folder and secured with a customized bellyband.

Favors, seating cards and table numbers carried out the theme.

It was a beautiful day, congratulations Justin and Emily!

A Spring Birthday Party…. the invitation

For daughter’s birthday last year we chose a “Spring Flower” theme.

I kept the invitations pretty simple… green paper with a pink and orange flower on the front… a simple printed sheet on the inside. I sewed the stem of the flower as well as the printed sheet on the inside. It is SO easy to sew on paper. I can’t believe I don’t do it more often. A bright orange envelope held the whole thing. Bright and happy, just like my two-year-old!

More about the party soon!
